A Vote For Red Wing Schools
Schools are facing unique challenges at this time; with a long career in education I understand those challenges and how school systems work. I want to serve our youth and greater community as a member of the Red Wing School Board.
My positions
Issues facing Red Wing Public Schools I care deeply about include:
Youth mental health issues are an epidemic
Low test scores
A budget that is stretched very thin
Service to children, adolescents, and the community
My background includes 25 years teaching 5th grade, middle school earth, environmental, and life sciences, high school biology, and as a professor in a university education department. I spent eight years on the Red Cottage Montessori School Board here in Red Wing and nine years on the Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center Board, where I helped launch a nature preschool. I now serve on the Red Wing Library Board.
